GUNTER ERICH WENZEL February 7, 1950 - January 9, 2010 Suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2010, Gunter passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 59 years. Remaining to forever cherish Gunter's memory are his loving wife Heather; daughter Kristin; grandchildren Velorian and Vienna (their father Dan); mother Hilda; brother Peter (Barbara); nephews Ingmar and Erik and their families. He is also survived by his mother-in- law Doris Bain; sister-in-law Marian Bain (Alexander and Stephanie). He was predeceased by his father Erich; father-in-law David Bain and brother-in-law Murray Bain. Gunter was a painter/decorator for many years. Upon his illness of seven years his interests turned to computers, volunteering at the Stroke Association of Manitoba and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In compliance with Gunter's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. A celebration of life will take place in the spring. The family would like to thank Warren C. his home care worker of seven years; to Drs. S. Fair and J. Drexler. Many thanks also to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedics Service for their assistance. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stroke Association of Manitoba, Unit B - 247 Provencher Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 0G6. Forever in our hearts you will be sorely missed by family and friends.
