Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY (HANK) CHARLES ELLIOTT February 9, 1920 - January 17, 2010 It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Henry who died at Concordia Hospital. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Kathleen (Kitty), his daughters Maureen Dawson, Lynda Lillies (Glen), daughter-in-law Wendy. Grandchildren Barbara (Rick), Chris (Debbie), Heather (Grant), Anthony (Jackie), Stephen (Kathy) and Richard. Also nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Sister-in-law Minnie, brother-in-law Leon and many nieces and nephews, also cousins in England. He was predeceased by his son Phillip, four brothers and three sisters. Henry was born in Winnipeg and lived for a short while in Minnedosa and then moved to Stony Mountain, where he spent his schooling. At the beginning of the Second World War he joined the artillery serving in England, Scilly, Italy and many parts of Europe. While in England he met and married his wife Kitty of 68 years. With the war over he joined the Winnipeg Police Force and retired after 32 years of service. He was a life member of Stony Mountain Royal Canadian Legion. Past Master of Stony Mountain Lodge No. 134. Senior Grand Deacon for the Grand Lodge of Manitoba. He was caretaker for 17 years at St. Saviour's Anglican Church on Munroe Ave. During his lifetime he made many friends and enjoyed being with his family. He loved gardening, cooking and really enjoyed travelling especially when going to England which was many times. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Saviour's Anglican Church, Munroe and Grey Street in Winnipeg. Wereschuk Funeral Chapel 582-0929
