GLADYS LILLIAN FULLER (nee Agland) After a short illness, peacefully, with family at her side, Gladys Lillian Fuller, aged 92, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Gladys was predeceased by George, her husband of 61 years, her brother Charles (Chuck), and her sister Violet. She is survived by three children, Lindsey (Paula), Brenda Stratton (Graham), Ron (Vanda); grandchildren, David and Bronwen, Ann and Dennis, Michael and Lee-Anne, Sarah, Sherri and Gwynn, Jennifer, Chrissy and Ian, Janet and Robert; and great-grandchildren, Sienna, Benjamin, Ethan, Jaden, Fiona, Nora, and Arthur. Mom spent most of her life in West Kildonan, growing up on Forest Avenue, and living on Armstrong Avenue for 59 years. She spent most of the Second World War years in North Sydney and Halifax, while Dad was in the service. She worked for Eaton's prior to marriage and resumed a career with the Bay later in life. She loved dancing with Dad and always enjoyed Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies. Family was an important part of her life and she welcomed the spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they arrived on the scene. She could be easily talked into a game of crib, double solitaire or scrabble, either at the cottage at Winnitoba, or other family gatherings. In her youth she played baseball and participated in bowling leagues with Dad and McCorquodales. She enjoyed several trips to England with Dad after retirement and made contact with a number of distant cousins. The family would like to thank the private and home care staff that enabled Mom to live in her own apartment, as she had wished. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Canadian Diabetes Association. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
