CLAIR DOERR After a two year battle with ALS Jim passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the age of 68 years. Jim is survived by his sister Betty (Tom) Dooley, three nieces Jennifer Dunbar, Laura Torrez and Karen Dooley, three grand-nephews Jacob, Joshua, Aaden and grand-niece Jillian. Jim graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science and worked his entire career in the meat packing industry as a microbiologist. He was an avid skier and golfer. Jim was especially proud of his Hole in One. A special thank you to Tom Dooley, Bernie Dronzek and Carl Buffie. The family would also like to thank all the staff at Brummitt Feasby House for their care and compassion. A gathering of family and friends will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba Brummitt Feasby House, care of Diana Rasmussen, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3.
