ANNE FAIRLEY 1932 - 2010 Anne drew her last breath on January 20th with friends and her husband by her bed after a difficult year of pain from an irreparably damaged pelvis and cancer. Friends, family and acquaintances will remember Anne as a gregarious inquisitive person who could have intense conversations with complete strangers. She loved writing poetry and seeing it published. Anne is survived by Bud, her husband of 48 years, daughter Kathi (Nick), stepsons Stephen (Sharon) and Bryant (Barb), grandchildren Misha, Katy and Elly and sister-in-law Joyce. Cremation has taken place. A longer obituary will follow on February 20th when a celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Writers' Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 13281, Kanata Station, Ottawa ON K2K 1X4. This Foundation, of which Anne was a Director for many years, has been assisting authors who are no longer able to support themselves.
