ARNE BERG Arne Berg passed away January 17, 2010 at the Menno Home in Grunthal, MB. He was born September 21, 1908 in Strömsund, Jamtland, Sweden and immigrated to Canada in 1912. He is survived by three sons, (Jack) Arne (Jan) of Steinbach, Vernon (Muriel) and Donald of Winnipeg; one daughter Eunice (Gordon) Byman of Winnipeg; one brother Sigvard (Mildred) of Piney; son-in-law Wilfred Felsch of Emerson; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Berg of Dryden, ON and Melrose Carlson of Portage la Prairie; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Eileen and daughter Evelyn Felsch; two brothers, Ole and Walter; five sisters, Ingaborg (Einar) Mattson, Mary (Joe) Horvath, Julia (Andy) Carlson, Cecelia (Jack) McMurray and Edith (Bob) Baines. A special thank you to the staff at Menno Home for their great care of Dad for the past several years. Flowers are gratefully declined. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, with a private burial at Menisino Cemetery at a later date.
