LUC JOSEPH MARCEL GIRARDIN 1950 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Luc on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 59 years. Luc leaves to cherish his memory his brother Claude and Diane, his sister Louise and Darrell, his nephews Michel and Tracy, Marcel and Lanis and his goddaughter Nigella. He was predeceased by his parents Emile and Denise. Luc grew up on a farm in La Salle, MB. In 1986 Luc moved to the city with his mother and eventually moved into a group home on rue Du Moulin. He enjoyed the companionship of the staff and residents at the Du Moulin home, his work and friends at Versatech, his biannual trips to Calgary, bowling and doing various chores around the home. Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held at St. Boniface Cathedral on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow. A private family burial will take place in La Salle, MB where Luc will be laid to rest with his parents. The family would like to thank the staff at the ICU at the St. Boniface Hospital, also the staff of St. Amant and in particular the home on Du Moulin for their wonderful care over so many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Amant Centre, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9. This obituary will be republished during the first week of May 2010.
