RONALD WAYNE SOKOLOSKI, SR. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Ronald Wayne Sokoloski Sr. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the age of 60 years. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife of 40 years Dale (nee Clubine); daughters Rhonda Frias (Ricardo), Julie Cabral (John) and son Ronald Sokoloski Jr. and five grandchildren Alisha, Rebecca, Ty, Jason and Cody; brothers Joseph (Helen) and Jim (Pat) Sokoloski; sisters Sheryl and Nancy Sokoloski and Barb Lechowicz (Gary); sister-in-law Ruth Klatt (Walter) of Surrey, BC as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Ron was predeceased by parents Nicholas and Josephine Sokoloski and parents-in-law Earl and Irene Clubine. Through his years Ron worked for Superstore, MacCosham, Canwest Carpets and Blackwoods Beverages. We've enjoyed our time with you Dad (Ron) at the parks, special occasions, beaches, barbeques, watching new and old movies, sports on TV, playing video games, visiting with relatives. The most favourite things he loved were listening to music and telling his humourous jokes, enjoying Dale's cooking and baking and spending most precious times with her. His favourite budgie birds Thumper and Scamp will miss him very much. Special thanks to all doctors and staff at Health Sciences Centre GD6 floor and intensive care unit area 2nd floor. Special thank you to all family and friends who visited and called Ron at the hospital through his difficult time before his passing. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe, Jim and Ron Jr. Sokoloski, Jonathon Glugosh, Ricardo Frias and John Cabral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. 586-8044
