ALICE ISABEL NICHOL (nee MORRISON) 1931 - 2010 On Saturday, January 23, 2010 at her residence at the Pembina-Manitou Health Centre, Alice Nichol aged 78 years of Manitou, MB formerly of Darlingford went to her eternal rest. Alice taught in the Middleton School District. Later, she married Murray Nichol and together they farmed in the Darlingford district. After retiring, she worked in the dietary department of Tabor Home for 13 more years. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Joanne and Ross Potts of Windsor, ON; three sons, Ken and Betty Nichol of St. Andrews, Scott and Donna May Nichol of Darlingford, Myron and Heather Nichol of Castlegar, BC; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as one sister and two brothers. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray in 2008; one daughter, Janett Nichol in 1960; one sister and one brother. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, 353 Thornhill St. in Morden. Ash interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Alice's memory to either the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Pembina-Manitou Health Centre, both available at the church.
