JACOB WIEBE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jacob Wiebe on January 25, 2010. Jake was born on December 5, 1925 in Rosenort, Ukraine. He was predeceased by his parents, Justina and David Wiebe, sister Justina Thielmann, and brothers David and Heinrich Wiebe. Jake will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished by his wife of 58 years, Elsie; by his daughter and son-in-law Helga and Hardy Bock; his son and daughter-in-law Paul Wiebe and Shannon Johnson; and by his beloved grandchildren, Erika and David Bock. Jake is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Jake was a man of great integrity, living his life with gentleness, kindness and empathy for all he knew. Whether in the workplace, at home, in his church or in his everyday tasks, he treated people in a kind and respectful manner. He was a man of great patience and he lived his faith through his daily actions. He loved get togethers with immediate family, and with his extended family of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. We will hold dear our many memories of Jake and use them to strengthen us. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Kevin Coates for his unending care of Jake, in times of good health and in times of health challenges. Funeral service to be held at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
