ROBIN COWAN Robin Cowan passed away at home on January 28, 2010 surrounded by loving family at his side. Robin came over from Scotland. He never lost his love for Scotland nor his Scottish traits though his love for Canada was unequalled. His one and only job was with C.N. Telecommunications where he started as a messenger boy #22. He became Installation Foreman and was also Union Chairman for a few years. He saw C.N. Telecommunications through many changes and the friends he made there were friends for life. He also met his soulmate Sylvia there and they were married for 43 wonderful years. After he retired his love for golf became a passion and he liked nothing better than golfing with his buddies no matter what the weather. No weather was too bad for golf. He liked to brag that he was seen on T.V. as being one of the last golfers of the season one year, even though there was snow on the ground. He loved walking with his walking group HIS GIRLS and he will be sorely missed by them. He was an important part of many lives and for his family it will be a very lonely life without him. If anyone wishes, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 982-2021. A graveside service will be held at Rosh Pina Cemetery, 2795 Main St., at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2010.
