BERNADETTE MARIE DOUCETTE Peacefully on January 28, 2010, Bernadette Doucette (nee Dupré) passed away with her family by her side at Dauphin General Hospital at the age of 82. Bernadette was born June 11, 1927 in Laurier, Manitoba. She lived her early years on the farm near Laurier. Bernadette married Wilfrid Doucette, also of Laurier, in 1951 and moved to McCreary where they raised their four children. Bernadette loved to tend to her garden and spent countless hours canning and preserving to share with friends and family. She also loved to bake and her homemade bread and buns were loved by all. She was strong in times of hardships and remained focused on her family. She believed in a strong work ethic and passed on these values to her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her children Vivian (Howard) Lesiuk, Dolores Doucette, Maurice (Candace) Doucette and Elaine (Brock) Hepburn, brother Rene (Cecille) Divers, sister Therese (Nick) Kuszak and sister-in-law Shirley Dupré. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Joshua, Daniel, and Nicole Doucette, Michael Lesiuk and the newest addition to the family, her great-grandson Talon Doucette. Bernadette was predeceased by her loving husband, Wilfrid, and their infant son, Wilfrid, her parents, Marie Jeanne and Mathieu Joseph Dupré, and her brother Andre Dupré. Prayers will be held at Our Lady of the Nativity Roman Catholic Church in McCreary on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Celebration will be held at Our Lady of the Nativity Roman Catholic Church in McCreary on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at McCreary Catholic Cemetery with Father Vincent de Paul Tchaoule as celebrant.
