BRADLEY HENRY SCHIEWE September 21, 1953 - January 13, 2010 We are saddened to announce that Brad has passed away following a long and valiant battle against prostate cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Norma and parents-in-law Gerald and Lorraine Lapointe. He is survived by his wife Lynne (nee Lapointe) of McKinleyville, CA, sons Alex (Janet) of Vacaville, CA, Ben (Casey) of McKinleyville, CA, adopted son Rashad of Santa Rosa, CA, granddaughters Clissa, Hailey and Lindsey. Also mourning his passing are his sisters Luray Schiewe of Salem, OR, Annabell Wood of Concord, CA, brothers Mike (Linda) of Hansville, WA, Dan of Portland, OR and sister-in-law Diane Lapointe of Winnipeg, MB. Brad was born in San Rafael, CA and lived throughout the Bay area before moving to McKinleyville. He had retired from Santa Fe railroads in 1992 but never lost his love for trains. He enjoyed travelling throughout California and Western Canada following the rails of history. He was also an avid drag racing participant and fan as well as a professional and personal race car builder. He lived his life all out' to the fullest. Cremation has taken place and at his request there will be no formal service. Private distribution of his ashes will take place at a later date.
