Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA EUNICE HARRIS On January 30, 2010 at the Grace Hospital, Edna went to be with her Lord. She was born on September 16, 1916 in North Kildonan and lived in Winnipeg all of her life. She was predeceased by her parents in 1962 and 1963 and her sisters, Winnifred, Phyllis, Iris, Ivy and brother-in-law Jack. She is survived by her nephew Dave (Carol) and her great-niece Ashley (Jason) and a number of cousins. Edna was employed by the Chicago Vocational Corporation, Remington Rand Typewriter Co. and in 1942 by the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 mainly in the Payroll Department, retiring on October 30, 1981. She then worked as a volunteer in the office of World Vision Canada for 12 years and at the Maples Personal Care Home for nine years. She attended Bethesda Church from the time it was organized in 1944 and in later years attended Calvary Temple. We would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital and the Winnipeg Paramedics for their care during this time. Thank-you Pastor Logan for your time with Edna during her stay in the hospital. A special thank-you to Marietta for her thoughtfulness and kindness during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission or to a charity of choice.
