KAY OTCHENASH (PARFENUIK)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAY OTCHENASH (nee PARFENUIK) Kay Otchenash (nee Parfenuik), former Winnipeg resident, passed away on January 26, 2010 at the Ituna Pioneer Lodge, Ituna, SK. Kay married Adam Shubaly, the couple resided in Winnipeg. Adam passed away at a young age and Kay re-married seven years later to John Otchenash. Kay worked for over 20 years as a nurse's aide, mostly at Misericordia Hospital and then at the Children's Hospital. Following her retirement she and John returned to settle in Hubbard, SK. John passed away in 2001. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Gary Shubaly of Calgary; Karen Shubaly-Molnar of Winnipeg; Donna Goring (John) of Victoria; grandchildren, Matthew Molnar (Amy) of Winnipeg; Jared and Robin Goring of Victoria. A brother Walter Parfenuik of Ituna; sisters, Steffa Dorosh of Regina and Emma Parfenuik of Hubbard, and their families. Prayers will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and the Requiem Divine Liturgy on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., all from the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hubbard. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ituna Pionner Lodge or the Holy Cross Cemetery Fund as tokens of remembrance.
