CICELY MARIE JUPP It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, Trail, BC, on January 29, 2010 at the age of 88. Born in Portage la Prairie, MB on July 28, 1921 to parents John James Burton and Flossie Jupp. Marie was predeceased by her very special friend Dr. Louis Loban, parents James and Flossie Jupp, stepfather Richard Jacobs, brother Melvin, sister-in-law Marie Tommy . She is survived by her loving nephew Richie (Donna) Jupp of Fruitvale, BC; great-nephew Kevin (Lynn) and great-great-nephew Ryan of Regina, SK and niece Dyanne (Ron) Martin of Winnipeg. Auntie was a registered nurse and trained at the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg. She worked most of her working career in the Operating Room at the Deer Lodge Hospital. She retired at age 57 and proceeded to travel the world, sew, knit and volunteer at the Children's Hospital Book Market. In October, 2008, Auntie relocated to Fruitvale, BC to be closer to his lordship Richie and her loving niece Donna. In later years her favourite activity was Can I take you out to eat and it is on me . Marie was a great supporter of the ARTS in Winnipeg. One of her greatest thrills was travelling to New York with her great-nephew, Kevin, to see the Three Tenors. As per Marie's request cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
