RICHARD EDWIN ASHAM Peacefully, on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, Richard went home to meet his creator at the age of 48. He will be sadly missed by his wife Lana; his four children, Ricolette (Leon), Richard Jr., Raven and Cheyenne; his five stepchildren, Amberly, Dallas, Teren, Tristin and Mackenzie; two grandsons, Colin and Isiah. He will also be greatly missed by his brothers, Terry (Dolly), Clarence and Randy (Dorothy); his sisters, Darleen Hill, Deborah Ritchie (Al) and many family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold Sr. and Evelyn; brother Harold Jr.; sisters Karen and Kim. He enjoyed various hobbies such as bingo, lotto, scratch tickets, planting and shopping at Dollarama. He had a great sense of humour and loved having his children and family around. Active pallbearers will be Darryl Sinclair, Jayson Asham, Crystal Asham, Chris Chastellaine, Terrence Jr. Asham, Errol Smith and Jeff Crate. Prayers will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
