NETTIE FALK Nettie Falk (nee Dueck) passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2010 at the age of 81. Nettie was born in Eigenhoff, MB on March 22, 1928 where she grew up. On June 26, 1949 she married Henry Falk and lived in Gretna until they moved to Winnipeg. She leaves to mourn her daughters Ruth (Abe), Marilyn (Clif), Lorraine and granddaughters Lisa (Dave), Sara (Tim), along with great-granddaughters Payton and Jayme. Nettie was predeceased by her parents Sarah and Cornelius S. Dueck, her husband Henry in 1991 and her daughter Elsie in 2000. Viewing will be at Wheeler Funeral Chapel at 211 Regent Ave. West on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2010 at Bethel Mennonite Church at 870 Carter Ave. with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Family would like to extend a Special Thanks to her respite worker Cristina, whom Mom loved dearly, along with Dr. S. N. Ahmad for her compassionate care. Nettie had tremendous appreciation for Lorraine's immeasurable care. Nettie's favourite quote was I have a very kind nurse . She treasured her personal care immensely.
