DYLA JEAN MCGREGOR (nee DUNCAN) 1927 - 2010 Suddenly on January 31, 2010 Dyla passed away at the age of 82. Dyla was predeceased by her husband Ken in 2002, son Kim in 2007, parents Ken and Lucielle, brother Colin, sisters Edna and Kathy, brothers-in-law Ronnie and Max and sister-in-law Patricia. She is survived by her loving son Dwayne, and precious companion Pepper , daughter-in-law Trellis, grandchildren Ben and Ashley, Callahan and Tammarra, sister Mary, brother Jack, sisters-in-law Doreen and Helen (Ken). Dyla was born August 9, 1927 in Austin, MB. She met and later married Ken on September 16, 1950. Dyla became a nurse and trained in Portage la Prairie, later working at the Health Sciences Centre. Ken and Dyla moved to Winnipeg and lived in the Fort Garry area where she raised her two sons. When Ken retired they moved into the West End for about 10 years before moving to St. James. The family would like to thank the Fire and Paramedic teams as well as the staff at Grace Hospital. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dyla's memory to D'Arcy's A.R.C., 730 B Century Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3H 0M1 or Quagga's Kitten Kaboodle and Stray Cat Rescue, 970 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2M 3R8.
