CARL (CHARLES CHARLIE) WALLACH February 4, 1928 - January 25, 2010 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and gigi, at the Fisher Personal Care Home, at the age of 81. Charlie was born on February 4, 1928 to Victor and Titania Wallach in Poplarfield where he lived and farmed all of his life. He was a very active child who kept his mother on pins and needles with his many pranks. He would be off chasing some adventure or doing some stunts with his younger brother, Frank, by his side. He loved riding horses, climbing the tallest trees and capturing wild animals alive. Charlie attended High Plains School till the age of 14 when he began to help on the family farm. As a young man there was plenty of time to enjoy nature around him. He loved fishing and hunting and was a great shot. He learned to play guitar while recovering from a broken leg. There were many barn dances and nights of playing cards with many friends and an occassional jug of moonshine. In 1962 Charlie met and married his beloved wife Beatrice of 47 years. Together they farmed and raised four children. A long time desire to fly was realized when his son acquired a pilots license. Together they bought a small plane, many ice fishing trips, and scouting flights to the north followed. He never retired but remained active until he was no longer able in 2007. Charlie will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Beatrice, son David (Ghistaine), daughters Anna (Brent Lloyd), Jinny (Jeffery Sigurdson), Robyn (Eric Bjornson); 13 grandchildren, who were his pride and joy Kyle, Daniel, Jenine, Nelson, Landon (Cassandra), Ashton, Keegan, Brendan, Stuart, Kaitlyn, Juel, Kristjan and Hayden; one brother Frank (Evelyn); one sister Anne (Frank Skibinski); sisters-in-law Rose Troschuk and Helen Wallach; numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Victor and Titania Wallach; three brothers Joe, Mike and John; two siblings in childhood; sister-in-law Myrtle Wallach. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Poplarfield Community Centre on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. Special thanks go out to the nursing staff and caregivers at the Fisher Personal Care Home for their excellent care and compassion shown to Charlie, your kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' memory to the Fisher Personal Care Home. FISHER FUNERAL HOME INC. In care of arrangements. Fisher Branch, MB (204) 372-6271 or 372-6803
