Born: Jan 01, 1931
Date of Passing: Feb 01, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN PATERSON (MORRIS) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved mother, sister and kitty grandma Jean Paterson on February 1, 2010 at the Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her mother Lillian and father Elmer, grandson Kristopher, granddaughter Amy. Remaining to forever cherish Jean's memory: sister Elma (George), sons Doug (Lauren), Rick (Nora), Brian (Brenda), Don (Leanne); grandchildren Crystal (Ryan), Miranda (Matt), Brittany, Ashley (Scott), Amber (Corey), Robyn, Devon, Lucas, great-grandchildren Mattison, Nolan, Savannah, Logan, Mylie. Mom was born on January 1, 1931 in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She had a special bond with her family and often shared her fond memories of the family cabin at Red Rock in the Whiteshell. Mom pursued a career with Manitoba Health working in the Northern Patient Transfer department eventually retiring from the company. Mom had an extreme love for all animals but had a great fondness for cats. There wasn't a time that she didn't have a litter of cats around, prompting her grandchildren to call her Kitty grandma. She loved spending time with her family and especially loved when she could travel to see her sons in Edmonton and Toronto. She was always saddened when she wasn't about to make it out for important life events. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Grace Hospital for their support and professionalism. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of our Mom's life will take place on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Mom's name, to the Winnipeg Humane Society. We will miss you Mom. Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within us forever in our hearts. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
