SILVIO MOLINARI 1930 - 2010 Peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Poseidon Care Centre, Silvio passed away at the age of 79. Silvio was predeceased by his parents Nerino and Pasqualina Molinari, his sisters Maria Bianchi, Cesarina Scarpelli and Lidia Rogano, and his in-laws Pietro and Angelina DeLorenzo. Silvio will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Rosetta and their children Reno (Rena) Molinari, and Lena (John) Corrigal and their grandchildren, Christine and Rosa Molinari and Rosemarie and Bruce Corrigal. Also cherishing his memories are his four surviving sisters Guiseppina Molinari and Miranda Megna of Italy, Romana (Alessandro) Cipolla of Winnipeg, and, Lina Gabriele of Hamilton, his in-laws, Gaetano (Leonora) DeLorenzo of Vancouver, Teresa (Guieseppe) Parise of Newmarket, Giovanni Rogano of Hamilton and Rocco Bianchi of Italy as well as numerous, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and many friends. Silvio was born in Vico, Aprigliano, Cosenza, Italy on August 15, 1930 where he resided until he immigrated to Canada in 1957. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 5, at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue with Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. The family will be hosting a reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. A private Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be Christine and Rosa Molinari, Rosemarie and Bruce Corrigal, Angelo Stabene, Vince and Phil Adamo and Peter DeLorenzo. The family would like to thank the staff of Poseidon Care Centre and Victoria General Hospital for the excellent care Silvio received. In addition the family would especially like to thank Angelo Stabene for all that he has done for both Mom and Dad and what he continues to do for Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations in Silvio’s memory may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8.
