OLGA ASHBY It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Olga Ashby on February 3, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter Gail (Paul), her two sweethearts Ashleigh (Chris) and Ashton, son Terry and grandsons Brian and Robby, two sisters Hilda and Lumina and many nieces and nephews. With music always being a part of her life, old time fiddling was one of her great passions and a Sunday supper never went without us all being serenaded by the Lawrence Welk show. She worked very hard her whole adult life while living in Eriksdale. People would set their watches by the times she picked up their children on the school bus for over 30 years. She also looked after the Scotch Bay post office for many years until it was converted to rural route delivery, which she also did for many years along with hauling cream. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time knitting, crocheting, and tackling challenging crossword puzzles. Grandma was a very special lady and touched the lives of everyone she met. Prayers will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 505 Brewster Street at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to follow on Monday, February 8, 2010 also at St. Joseph The Worker Parish at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the banquet hall downstairs at the Golden Spike 202 Bond Street. Always loved, never forgotten . Funeral Arrangements in care of: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 REGENT AVENUE (AT BOND)
