Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBOLESLAW MAJEWSKI On Thursday, February 4, 2010, Boleslaw (Bob) Majewski passed away peacefully at home in Winnipeg with his loving wife Helena at his side. Boleslaw was 87 years old. Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of 60 years, Helena, sons, Henry (Dorthy), Richard (Patricia) and Bernie (Jayann); grandchildren, Sheena, Andy (Kathryn), Jimmy, Jayde, Tianna and Nikala; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Hazel. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Stanislaw and Teofila Majewski, brothers, Piotr, Pawel and Jan, sisters, Bronislawa, Gientruda, Elzbieta, Maria and Jadwiga. Bob was born on April 1, 1922, in Tuczyn, Poland. He came to Canada in 1947, settled in Winnipeg and married Helena on July 24, 1949. Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked as a lumberjack and in construction when he first came to Canada and then worked as a steelworker at Ancast Industries for the next 36 years until he retired at 65. After retirement, Bob loved spending time with family, enjoyed gardening, and especially the long walks with Helena to Assiniboine Park. Bob's kindness and gentleness will make him sadly missed by all who knew him. A special thanks to all those who were so helpful and kind to Bob, including the staff at the Grace Hospital and the Winnipeg Health Authority and especially the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home for the wonderful care you took of our Tata. The family greatly appreciates all of your help and kindness. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father officiating.
