RUTH GOODALL (nee MATTSON) Ruth Goodall, born July 31, 1924, passed away peacefully at age 85 on February 4, 2010. Ruth is survived by daughters, Karen Reichert (Houston, Texas) and Wendy Reichert Ray (Houston, Texas), grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Ray, sister May Panisiak, cherished niece Betty Anderson and her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews Joyce Pifer, Richard Cote, Cheryl Panisiak and Randy Panisiak. She is predeceased by son Glen Reichert, husband Thomas Goodall and sister Anna Cote. Ruth was born in Norway, coming to Winnipeg at age four. She worked as an optician both in Winnipeg and in Minneapolis. After raising her three children with first husband Ted Reichert, she remarried and moved to Toronto, then St. Catharines, spending winters in balmy Houston, Texas. An accomplished seamstress, Ruth preferred to design and sew her own clothes. Ruth will be remembered for her vivacious spirit and sense of humor. We want to sincerely thank the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for their care and attentiveness. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, the family will hold a private memorial.
