MARY CATHERINE PAULSON (RICHARDSON) (nee MACNEIL) It is with deep sorrow the family announces the peaceful passing of Mary Paulson, on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mary was predeceased by her first husband Leonard Richardson, her daughter Nora, her second husband Oskar, as well as numerous brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She is survived by her children: Maureen (Norman) Herman; Kitty (Joe) Salamon, Leonard Richardson; two grandsons, Lenny Herman and Damian Perkins; great-grandchildren: Sara, Brett, Alannah and Zachary; along with her special niece and nephew Sandra and Eddie Krowski, their daughter Alexandra, Tishia Carson, Terry Bradshaw, nephews, Ricki and Ronnie Waugh and Hughie (Beth) Shirley, numerous relatives and friends. Mary served as a W.R.E.N. in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. This is where she met her first husband Leonard. She was so proud of serving her country and being a W.R.E.N. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion #9, where she enjoyed playing the slots and visiting with her friends Nancy and George Graham. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Noor Khan for his dedicated care to our beloved mother Mary. A funeral service celebrating Mary's life will be held on Monday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Interment will follow in the family plot at Arborg Community Cemetery, Arborg, MB.
