ALBERT GUNNAR PEARSON 1931 - 2010 On February 4, 2010 Albert passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the age of 78 in the St. Boniface Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Jo of Winnipeg, one son: Clay (Debbie); one daughter: Maureen (Rick) Nicholson, grandsons: Keith (Catherine) Pearson, Andrew Pearson, Mathew Nicholson, granddaughter: Sara Nicholson and great-granddaughter Isabelle Pearson, one brother, Rodney (Doris); nephews, Robert, Arthur and niece Audrey. Albert was predeceased by his father William, his mother Bethel, brother Stanley, one brother in infancy and infant granddaughter; Jennifer Pearson. Dad was born in Eriksdale, Manitoba on November 4, 1931. He moved to Winnipeg in 1951 and was married in 1957. He was a man of many talents and worked many careers; construction, Brinks Armoured Security, the nickel mine in Thompson, Manitoba, and then spent 17 years as an inspector with the Manitoba Highways Department. A few years after his retirement in 1991 he decided to own and operate a courier business. Dad's leisure time was spent on his passions; hunting, fishing and music. Family and friends remember the many weekends that Dad played and sang Guitar and Fiddle. The Family wants to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of the St. Boniface Extended Care Unit for their compassion and support in dad's final hours. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. One of these days and it won't be long I'll rejoin them in a song I'm gonna join the family circle ...
