Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY NOVAK (nee HOGUE) December 3, 1914 February 8, 2010 May God embrace our much treasured mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother. It is with deep sadness that we who loved her most announce the peaceful passing of our Mom at the Morris General Hospital. Mary was born in La Salle, Manitoba to Adelina and Louis Hogue. She married John Novak on July 14, 1940 and they raised their family of four children in Transcona. With her family firmly at the center of her life, Mary delighted in her children and was a strong, loving and supportive mother. Mary worked at Eaton's for 27 years. She was predeceased by her husband, John on February 4, 1977 and then retired to La Salle. She enjoyed travelling and visiting her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her children, Johnny (Sherron) Novak, Terry (Ronnie) Elke, Alice (Wally) Andrushko, and Rita Novak (Dan Danylchuk). She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, David, Kim and Todd Novak, Darrin, Rick, Dawn (Schneider), and Ronnie Jr. Elke, Craig, John-Paul, and Lisa (Williams) Andrushko, and Dan Novak, as well as 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grand-children. She is also survived by her sister, Germaine and her brother Denis. She was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister, Fred, Alcide, Edward, Thomas, Ulysse, George, Phillipe, Victor, and Alice. Funeral mass celebrated by Father Armand LeGal will be held at the St. Hyacinthe Parish Church in La Salle, Manitoba on Friday, February 12 at 2:30 p.m. Viewing will begin at 2:00 p.m. Mary will be laid to rest at the La Salle Parish Cemetery. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Morris area home care staff, Dr. Manness and the nursing staff at the Morris General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the La Salle St. Hyacinthe Parish, 27 Beaudry St., La Salle, MB, R0G 0A1 for future arrangements for a memorial dedication.
