CYNTHIA EASTLYN DOWNES-MITCHELL We regret to announce the passing of Cynthia Eastlyn Downes-Mitchell on February 7, 2010. She is survived by her husband Albert; son Michael (Thomasena); sisters, Jessica, Wilma; brother Alton and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins in Trinidad, U.S.A., Canada and Costa Rica. Cynthia was predeceased by parents, Reynold and Mildred; sister Sylvia and brother Godfrey. Cynthia moved to Winnipeg in 1981 and worked as a Health Care Aide with Home Care. Later on, she made a commitment to her Lord and started attending Waves of Glory Church. A faithful volunteer in the Food Bank at Waves, Cynthia was liked by many, and was sadly missed when she was unable to attend due to health issues. We will miss her spunk, and her laughter, and how she kept us in stitches at family gatherings. We'll meet again soon, Cynthia. We love you and miss you dearly. Funeral will be held 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 13 at Waves of Glory Church, 364 Furby Street, with viewing prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Health Sciences Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waves of Glory Inc.
