Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE HELEN LANGES (nee KAZAKOFF) Unexpectedly, on February 9, 2010 Connie passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years. Connie was born in Kamsack, SK on May 27, 1930 to parents Annette (Rezansoff) and Peter Kazakoff. Connie's father died when she was six, and she grew up in a family with her mother, one brother and two sisters. She came to Winnipeg as a young woman seeking employment and better opportunities. Here, she met Hans Peter Langes and they were married in 1952. Three children followed, along with a traditional role of wife, mother and homemaker. She ran the household as Peter grew his business and they raised their family and made many lasting friendships along the way. Connie was a very social person and enjoyed being involved in a variety of activities. She was a 4-H leader in Headingley for many years, a member of the Architects Wives' Association, and more recently, a regular volunteer of the Spence Street Thrift Shop. She also enjoyed socializing with her many friends from the ladies group and Birthday Girls at St. Charles Church and her swim group at the Civic Centre. Connie was also part of a large extended family, and especially enjoyed the Tully family gatherings. Most importantly, Connie loved having her family around her, especially her grandchildren. Connie also had an innate sense of style and loved to put together her fashionable outfits. In her earlier days, she did a lot of sewing for her family. Her life was filled with many cherished experiences: family-trips, lazy days at Patricia Beach, beloved pets Heinz and Tasha, visiting with friends, and family time. Connie lived a very full life, right up until the day before she left this world. Connie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Heidi (Dan) and Jane; son Peter (Maggie); grandchildren Matthew, Jessica, Jared and Julia who will always treasure the special times they shared with their Oma. Connie also has a great-grandchild, Emily. Connie was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 2008. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Parish (320 St. Charles St.) with Father Paul Tinguely officiating. Reception to follow. Interment with her husband, Peter, at Chapel Lawn afterwards. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Connie's memory may be made to Pregnancy and Family Support Services Inc., 555 Spence Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2R9 or a charity of one's choice. Rest in Peace dearly loved Mother, Oma (Omi), aunt and dear friend. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
