ALFRED STEFAN BYRON April 27, 1939 - January 6, 2010 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather. Alf is survived by his loving wife Arlene, sister Pearl (Mike) Krywy, son Scott (Sylvia) Byron, daughter Stefanie (Jayson) Hencheroff, nephew Todd Krywy, niece Lisa Brown and their families, grandsons Robert and Christopher Byron. Alf was born in Oak Point, MB, where he spent most of his youth, then later moved to Vancouver. Employed by Firestone for most of his career, he transferred to Prince George in 1968 where he and Arlene raised their two children. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent a great deal of time at the cabin they built at Cluculz Lake. The family has many cherished memories from time spent together there. Always one to keep busy, even in his retirement he continued to work part-time, all the while continuing with his woodworking hobby. A celebration of his life was held in Prince George on January 9, 2010.
