MARY DISBROWE 1937 - 2010 On February 11, 2010 Mary Disbrowe (Moar) of Winnipeg, formerly of Berens River, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her bedside at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 72 years. Mary was born in Poplar Hill, Ontario and was raised in Lt. Grand Rapids. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Disbrowe in 1992; parents Charlotte and Fred Moar Sr. of Lt. Grand Rapids; brothers, Gordon, William, Walter, Donald, Edward, John and Fred Moar Jr. who passed away the same day following her home; sisters, Lizzie and Lillian. Mary leaves to cherish her memory; children, Niel (Kathy), Lawrence and his children Farrah and Melissa, Brian (Denise), Valerie, Margaret (Charlie), Melvina (Leon), Barbara, Charlotte and Tina; step-daughter Cecilia (Perry); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews; special brother-in-law Alvin Disbrowe; sisters-in-law, Helen Moar, Rena Disbrowe and Shirley Abraham. There are many special friends, Linda, Dawn, Joyce, Diane, Virginia and Leona to name a few. Mary devoted her life to raising her children and other children in need. She devoted her life to being a wife, mother and friend. Mary will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Bohm of the Health Sciences Centre. Wake service will be held at the Church of the Open Door, 137 Euclid Ave. Winnipeg, MB, on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Wake services will continue on February 14 and 15 at the Berens River United Church. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church, with interment to follow at the Berens River Community Cemetery.
