THELMA ANNIE MAJOR (nee WILSON) June 5, 1927 - February 10, 2010 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Thelma on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 82 years. Remaining to forever cherish Thelma's memory are her loving husband Robert; three daughters Janet (Dennis), Margaret (Dennis) and Ruth (Jim); sister Hazel; sisters-in-law Kay, Betty (Ken); granddaughters Sara (Daren) Shannon (Larry); great-grandchildren Alexis, Olivia, Riley, Laine, Grace; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many friends and she will be greatly missed. Thelma was born in Whitewood, SK and moved to Winnipeg where she met, then married Bob on June 5, 1947. They moved to Charleswood where they still reside. Mom (YT), Grandma, Grandma GG loved to play cards with family and friends. She enjoyed Bingo and bus trips to the Casinos. Thelma started curling with her sisters and when she was no longer able, tried 5 pin bowling but curling was her passion. She enjoyed many trips to various events and watching on them on television. In compliance with Thelma's wishes no formal Funeral Service will be held. A private gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
