GEORGE BRUCE FORD September 8, 1924 - February 7, 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather in the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 85 years. George leaves to mourn his daughters Echo (Ken), Heather, Coral (Wayne) and Shawna (Fred); three sisters Nell, Lottie and Alice and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Violet Page and his second wife of 42 years, Dorathia Davis (Maggie); sons Danny, George and Leslie; grandson Steven Ford; brother Bob; sister Margaret; parents Robert and Martha and son-in-law George Goulet. George served proudly during the Second World War. He worked for Kuene and Nagel for 40 years retiring in 1988. He was happiest when he had his family and friends around him and he was never accused of beating around the bush . He loved to tease, have a good laugh and he had nick-names for almost everyone. George loved every aspect of farming including the physical work and especially the animals. George inspired honest and integrity in all of us. Dad, you were the most incredible father who will always be our hero! According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. He will be laid to rest with his son Daniel during a private family interment in Brookside Cemetery. Until we meet again. 843 Sherbrook Street Condolences: www.bardal.ca Ample parking available behind the funeral home
