JACQUELINE HALL (REEVE) (nee RANDALL) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jacqueline Hall (Reeve) on February 2, 2010 at the Riverview Health Centre. Jacqueline will be lovingly remembered by her children Barbara Bell (Cam) of Calgary, Linda Loeb (Dave), Ken Reeve (Sara) and grandchildren: Jason, Andrea, Matthew, Danielle, Keith (Jen), Jennifer, David and sister- in-law Helen Williams and family of BC. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family Joan terMors (Harry) of Florida, Garry Hall (Rose), Marilyn Jestin (Shane) and grandchildren: Corrie, Sandra, Chris, Rita, Katelyn, Travis and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Reeve, husband Frank Hall, parents Gabrielle and John Randall and brother, Ernest Randall. Mom was born on October 26, 1933 in Winnipeg. Affectionately nicknamed Tootie , her early years were a special time filled with fond memories of her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. In 1953 Mom married her high school sweetheart, Jack, and in 1956 they moved to their new home in Windsor Park. Those were memorable years, raising their family and spending summers on road trips and at Falcon Lake. After Jack's tragic death in 1974, Mom's courageous spirit, strength and independence allowed her to face new challenges with the support of family and friends. Mom returned to work part-time at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Windsor Park allowing her to still be at home with her teenage children. Mom was blessed once again in 1981 when she married Frank Hall and was welcomed into another loving family. Although their time together was far too short, Mom and Frank shared many happy years, travelling and spending winters in Hawaii until his death in 1988. Mom's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured her time with the grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities and events, in Winnipeg and on her numerous visits to Calgary. Mom took great pride in being a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her family. She was an extremely hard worker and always believed in the saying, if you're going to do it, do it right! Mom loved her home and was thankful to remain there until shortly before her passing. She cherished her garden and found great comfort there during difficult times in her life. Mom was an accomplished seamstress and knitter, spending many hours making clothes for her children, grandchildren and gifts for family and friends. We will always feel her warmth around us when we are wrapped in one of her afghans! Mom also spent many hours crafting and refinishing furniture. She loved to travel and in recent years renewed her love for a good book! The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and aids on 3E at the Riverview Health Centre for their caring of Mom and a special thank you to her palliative nurse, Kate Hockridge, for her guidance and support. In keeping with Jackie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Jacqueline's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, The Winnipeg Foundation for The 402 Squadron Association Awards Fund - Jack Reeve Memorial Award or, to a charity of your choice.
