MARGARET VALERIE (VAL) WRIGHT February 24, 1941 February 12, 2010 It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts; we announce the passing of Val Wright, after a lengthy illness. Val is survived by her soulmate of 37 years, Chris de Haan, her sisters, Laurie (Fredrickson) and Marnie Wright and brothers, Don (Carole) and Robert (Cec). She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Beverly and Noreen, brother Sammy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Valerie worked as a bookkeeper/payroll clerk for 36 years for various companies. She was a rare and beautiful soul who will be remembered for her honesty, sense of humour and her kindness and generosity to others. Val was always there if someone needed help. She suffered greatly for many years and survived many physical hardships and disabilities - yet she always had a sunny personality and never complained. She lived a life of grace and dignity. We are forever grateful for the wonderful memories she left us. Flowers are respectfully declined. Val loved animals - if desired; donations can be made to D'Arcy's A.R.C. Animal Rescue Centre, or the Winnipeg Humane Society. Cremation has taken place, In keeping with Val's wishes, no service will be held. We will always remember you Your life, your love, Until we meet again.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Val's passing. She was a person who took a genuine interest in me and was an integral part of helping me through some difficult passages of life.
