Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLAND PAPINEAU Peacefully, on Friday, February 12, 2010, Roland, at the age of 87, passed away at Foyer Valade. He leaves to mourn his children Thérèse (Maurice), Ulysse (Freida), Arthur (Ginette), Denis, Yvon and Patricia (Brian), as well as 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, brother Oscar (Annette), sister Yvette and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Cécile, daughter Yvonne, son Lionel, brothers Antonio, Raoul, Zéphir, Marius, Emerille and sister Jeannette, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Roland was born in Saint-Georges, Manitoba on May 24, 1922, one of nine children. He took great pleasure in camping, fishing and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A special thanks goes to the staff of Foyer Valade for their wonderful care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Friday, February 19 at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. both at St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church, 80 St. Pierre Street in St. Norbert, MB. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
