Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANET KIRKWOOD It is with great sadness the family of Janet Kirkwood announces her passing on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the age of 78 years at St. Boniface Hospital. Janet was predeceased by her parents Catherine and James Kirkwood, brother Hugh, brothers-in-law Tom Adkins and Jim Zarie. Left to cherish and mourn are her sisters Catherine Adkins and Mary Zarie, sister-in-law Dorothy Kirkwood, nephews Lew and Fred Adkins and Iain Kirkwood, niece Una Shworak, extended family members and friends. Janet was born September 6, 1931 in Stirling, Scotland, immigrating to Canada in 1949 and worked for Timothy Eaton's Company until her retirement in 1993. Janet enjoyed travelling, and hobbies of knitting, crocheting. She also enjoyed bowling and watching golf on TV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Janet's memory to a charity of ones choice. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave Chapel Lawn 885-9715
