WALTER KROEGER December 19, 1926 February 11, 2010 Walter was born in Berwenko, Ukraine and passed away after failing health over the past year. He is survived by his loving wife Gay; son Todd; daughters: Bonnie (Gordon) and Sharon (Ken); grandchildren: Jordan, Kirsten, Skylar, Karen, Megan, Dale and Jim; great-grandchildren: Dylan and Cody and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother (Katherine), father (Abraham), sisters: Annie (Max), Katie (Isaac), Mary and brothers: Abraham (Lydia), Aaron (Myrtle), Nicholas (Pat), Paul (Muriel), Jacob, David and Paul. Walter served in the RCASC for 19 years attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant, serving in Germany, Churchill, Winnipeg, Regina and Alert, NWT. He moved from Winnipeg to Kelowna in 1976. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held in Winnipeg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Lung Association, PO Box 34009, Postal Station D, Vancouver, BC, V6J 4M2.
