BARRY GORDON USKOSKI 1939 - 2010 I passed on, on February 15, 2010. I was born on February 9, 1939. I leave behind the love of my life and best friend, my wife Irene (we just celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary); two children my daughter Arlene (Rick) Arnal and my son Dale (Lori) Uskoski; five grandchildren Joel and Jeremy Arnal and Kylie, Brett and Garrett Uskoski; brother-in-law Elmer (Rita) Hellegards; nephew Larry (Natasha) and nephew Brian (Dorrie) Hellegards and their children Tasya and Justis. I was predeceased by my father John in 1970, my mother Margaret in 1997; my father-in-law Jim Hellegards in 1988 and mother-in-law Jeanne in 2006. I have enjoyed my life to the fullest extent, many things have been accomplished and many have not. I was a jack-of-all-trades and a master of many. I was a long time member of Local 254 Sprinkler Industry. In 1992 I obtained my Class 1 Driver's license with Manitoba Driving School and drove transport trucks for Western Grocers and for The Codville Company. In 1994 I received an award for The Driver of the Year Runner Up . In 1996 I got my Class 1 Driving Instructor Certificate and was an instructor for Manitoba Driving School for two and one-half years. I retired in 1998. Thanks to the doctors and nurses at HSC Cancer Care for their wonderful care. Thank you to the doctors and staff for the excellent care I received during my short stay at the Grace Hospital. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with interment and reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Hi grandpa, just thought I would pop in & say hello. Haven't talked with you in a little while. Although I pray some nights when I can, to talk to you again. I wish I could have been there for you more often than I was grandpa. Love you, miss you. See you again! I know you are up there right now sharing your humour with others! :) - Posted by: Brett Uskoski (Grandchild ) on: Oct 25, 2014
