Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN BARANIUK February 14, 1934 - February 13, 2010 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joan (nee Ferguson) Baraniuk. Joan is survived by her daughter Marcy (Wayne), granddaughter Wynne, son Chris (Darren), sister Joyce (Jim), brother Ron, friends at Dakota House and many others. Joan is predeceased by her parents, David Athol and Ann Gabrielle, husband Lawrence and son Mark. Joan was born in Kenora, Ontario, and loved the lake country. She moved to Winnipeg, where she met Lawrence while working for Manitoba Hydro. They spent several years in Selkirk before moving back to Winnipeg. Joan also worked for the Winnipeg Free Press. A remembrance service will be held at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
