ROBERT EDGAR GALLANT 1924 - 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle on Monday, February 15, 2010 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85 years. Remaining to forever cherish Robert's memory are his wife, Della, of 58 years marriage; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren - Debbi and Mark (Clinton, Ian, Nicole and Alexandra), Peter (Jeremy), Michael and Cathy (Meladene, Paula, Riley, Brodey and Emery), Rodney and Gina (Thomas); brothers Albert and Harry (Isabel); sister Jenny, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his son Bobby; parents Maurice and Josephine; brothers Cornelius, Arthur, Maurice, Peter and Elmer; sisters Helen, Georgina and Muriel. Dad was born and raised in St. Charles, Prince Edward Island. He and mom were married in 1951. Along with the joys in his life such as carpentry and his family, dad enjoyed his many long drives back home to visit family and his short drives to his local McDonalds for coffee with his friends. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, 925 Jessie Avenue at Stafford. Interment will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at both the Poseidon Care Centre and St. Boniface Hospital.
