Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY (TONY) WELBERGEN After a hard struggle with many illnesses, and surrounded by his family, Tony died on Thursday, February 18, 2010. Tony emigrated from the Netherlands in 1954. In 1961 he married Sheila. Tony loved his children, Andrew, Susan and Michael, and was thrilled when grandchildren Joshua and Noah came along. As soon as Andrew and Michael were old enough Tony guided them through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. He even offered to be a Brownie leader. In 1982 Tony received his B.A. from the U of M. Along with Sheila, Tony loved to travel and with the help of friend Gerry played bridge as often as he was able. A celebration of Tony's life will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. at St. Chad's Anglican Church, 3390 Portage Avenue. If you wish, donations to St. Chad's Memorial Fund, or the charity of your choice.
