MICHELE DOROTHY JONKER (nee GODIN) August 13, 1955 - February 18, 2010 With her family by her side, Michele Jonker passed away peacefully in her home in West St. Paul, MB. Left with a lifetime of cherished and loving memories is her devoted husband Joseph. Mom will be deeply missed by her children Matt (Mila), Janine (Chris), Doug (Brittany), Scott (Loelda) and Kevin (Venus), and her grandchildren Noah, Lukas, Annabella and Mateo. She will be warmly remembered by her siblings, Carlene (Jim), Pat (Jessica) and Brian (Debbie). She touched the hearts of her many nieces and nephews. Michele is predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Reg Godin. Michele devoted all of her time and effort in sharing her wisdom and spirituality to make her children's and grandchildren's lives as fulfilling as possible. Throughout her life journey, she formed meaningful relationships as a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and friend. Family and friends were always welcomed to her home and her kind hand was always extended to helping others. Michele had a generous heart and a passionate enthusiasm for life. She believed in living in the now and cherished every moment. The lives of many people have been touched by her compassionate and empathetic nature. The moment you enter the Now with your attention, you realize that life is sacred. There is a sacredness to everything you perceive when you are present. The more you live in the Now, the more you sense the simple yet profound joy of Being and the sacredness of all life Eckhart Toole 2003 A gathering for family and friends, to share memories and fellowship will take place in the Mosaic Reception Centre on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano Celebrant. A private interment will take place at a later date. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team (especially Maryanne) and CancerCare Manitoba.
