CATHERINE ELIZABETH (BETTY) KYLE Peacefully, at the St. Boniface Hospital, on February 14, 2010, Betty Kyle, aged 89, passed away. Predeceased by her husband Doug and daughter Lindy, Betty is lovingly remembered by her daughter Bev, son-in-law David Sokolowski and Ramsay and Leonie Holmes. Betty enjoyed raising her two girls but her most impressive accomplishment was going back to school in her forties to become a nursery school teacher. She was one of the first nursery teachers in the Winnipeg School Division and had many happy years at Pinkham and William White. Travel was one of Betty's major passions and she and her fellow traveller, Georgina Crowe, managed to visit all seven continents and both poles. For the past three years, Betty was a resident at Misericordia Place, second floor. The staff ensured Betty's last years were filled with affection, fun and excellent care. Bev and David are very grateful for the warmth shown to Betty. At Betty's request, no service will take place. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
