They were married May 2, 1981 in Clearwater, Manitoba. They began their family in 1985 with the birth of their first son Riley in New Westminster and soon followed by the birth of their daughter Meghan in 1986. Mark had many fond memories of family vacations to the cabin in Lake of the Woods and snowboarding in the mountains of BC. He also enjoyed travelling with Kerry to the sunny beaches of Hawaii, Dominican and Bermuda. The latest addition to his life was Hogan a West Highland Terrier, who gave him companionship and enjoyment during those tough times. The Board of itSMF Canada sadly extend our sincere condolences to Mark's family, his many friends and colleagues and to the members of itSMF Manitoba. Mark was one of the key founders in establishing the itSMF Chapter in Manitoba, becoming its first President until forced to step down due to illness. To all of us that knew him, Mark was a calm but insistent voice for ITSM, believing in an idea whose time had come. We valued Mark's selfless commitment, his wisdom and most of all, his pleasant and interesting company. God bless you Mark!
