Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE VENETTA MCKEAG Peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on February 20, 2010. Joyce is survived by her son Patrick, and wife Carole, her grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) and Jennifer (Chris), great-grandchildren Jakob and Benjamin Sheppard, and her brother Ralph (Lois). Joyce was born July 01, 1924 in Willmar, Saskatchewan to Fredrick Lee and Clara Iva Clarkson. She attended local schools, obtaining her grade 12 in 1942. She then enrolled in the School of Nursing at the Regina Grey Nuns' Hospital, graduating with her R.N. in 1946. She married Calvin Ward McKeag in Willmar in 1948. Cal joined the R.C.A.F. in 1951, and the family had many rewarding experiences living in various provinces in Canada and Europe. Their postings took them to Clinton, Saskatoon, Gimli, Camp Borden, Metz France, Baden-Soellingen West Germany, Ottawa, and Winnipeg. After Cal's death in 1996, Joyce spent her remaining years in Winnipeg enjoying her home and family, garden and leisure. Special thanks to the staff at 6W Deer Lodge Centre. In accordance with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
