Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE MADELINE DAENINCK Peacefully with her family by her side, Irene, much loved wife of Joe passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the age of 88 at the Concordia Hospital. Irene will be missed, remembered and always loved by her husband Joe of 67 years, sons and daughters-in-law Rick and Joanne of Calgary, Ron and Mary of Carberry, George and Linda of Baldur, Jim and Lucille, Ken and Kim and Larry and Heather. Irene's passing will also leave a hole in the hearts of her 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Lil (Julian) and Jen, her brothers Andy (Sandy) and Gerry (Pat) and her sister-in-law Lorraine. She was predeceased by her parents Julian and Emmerance, her brother George, sister Blanche (Maurice), brother-in-law Frank, and one great-grandchild. Irene was born on August 2, 1921 in Belgium and immigrated to Winnipeg with her family as a young girl. She was raised, educated and lived most of her life in St. Boniface where she met Joe and they were married in 1942. Irene was a stay at home mom who raised their six sons and was a wonderful cook and baker. Irene was actively involved in her church and the Belgian Club and loved bingo, bowling, traveling and playing in the casinos. As per Irene's wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial service in Irene's honour will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined, instead donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff of the Concordia Hospital 3rd Floor West for their care during Irene's last days. Irene will be missed but she will live on in our memories and in our hearts.
