JOSEPH REY Peacefully at the St. Claude Pavilion on Monday, February 22, 2010, Mr. Joseph Rey of St. Claude passed away at the age of 89. Jos was predeceased by his wife Cécile (Gautron) and sister Marie. Left to celebrate his memory are his children, Yvonne (Delmer) Marks, Lorraine Giesbrecht (Gilbert) Gisèle (Rene) Landreville, Norman (Florence) Rey and Lynne (Roland) Jacques; ten grandchildren, Michelle (Len), Alan (Tabitha), Pam (Barry), Shawn (Danika), Shelley (Chris), Greg (Chrystal), Krista, Jonathon, Brian (Leanne) and Joanne (Raynald); nine great-grandchildren, Taylor, Reed, Donovan, Chad, Jeffery, Peyton, Danica, Brooke and Cole. Also celebrating Jos' memory are his brothers and sisters, Matilda, Georgette, Louis, Bernadette, Laurette, Leoni, Jeanne, Pierre, George and Rose. Jos was born September 3, 1920 and was raised in St. Claude, MB. In 1942 Jos married Cécile and they settled in Haywood where they remained farming until moving to St. Claude in 1993. Jos will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Jos could always be found cutting wood, playing cards and visiting with friends. Jos always enjoyed family gatherings, especially catching up with his grandchildren and meeting his new great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Viens and staff at St. Claude Pavilion for their care and compassion during dad's stay. Funeral Services will be held in the St. Denis Church in Haywood on Thursday, February 25, 2010. Memorial Services at 2:30 p.m., Funeral Mass at 3:00 p.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery with Father Marcel Carrière officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Claude Wellness Centre, Box 400, St. Claude, Manitoba, R0G 1Z0. So sorry to hear of your loss. A great man, father and grandfather. Another great white hunter goes to the big hunting field above. Joe will be missed by all that knew him.
