Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE THOMSON Peacefully, after a brief illness, Anne Thomson passed away at Extendicare Oakview Place on February 19, 2010. She was born in Newdale, MB on April 12, 1918. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, son Robert, daughter Donalda Harris, parents Thomas and Janet McCormick, brother Thomas and sisters Lena Swift, Mary Crawford, Margaret Smith and Jennie Silk. She is survived by her sons George and Jack, son-in-law Wally Harris, daughter-in-law Rodee Small, grandchildren Scott Thomson, Janice (Darrin) Bonnett, Colin (Jennifer) Thomson and Darryl Thomson. She leaves to mourn her seven great-grandchildren Brandon, Dustin, Kimberly, Gordon, Alicia, Connor and Kyla, sister Agnes Dopson, brothers Edward and James (Irene) McCormick and many nieces and nephews. Anne was a good friend to all who knew her and had a great sense of humour and quick wit which she kept until the end. She was a hard worker who took pride in her home and family. She was a very giving, caring person who never complained. She lived a simple life, but was proud of her many accomplishments. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Oakview Place for their kindness and excellent care she received during her time there. Thanks also to Hettie Beatty for the companionship she shared with Anne. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
